Job Description:
Overall responsibility is introducing DevOps practices to build and maintain our server infrastructure and automate service deployments.
Security best practices implementation, Scalable architecture implementation, Fault-tolerant, and durable infrastructure design.
Experience with cloud migration technologies and tools such as AWS SMS, Cloud Endure, Migration Evaluator, Application Discovery Service, and similar
The DevOps Architect’s job will be to develop tools and strategies for deployment, testing, and monitoring to achieve our goal of security, compliance, agreed uptime, and quick turnaround and feedback of new code deployments.
Continuously improve our infrastructure for ease of deployment, scalability, security, and fault tolerance.
Work closely with System Architects, Engineers, Product Managers, and System Administrators to meet their service automation needs.
You'll work collaboratively with software engineering to deploy and operate our systems. Help automate and streamline our operations and processes.
You will build and maintain tools for deployment, monitoring, and operations and troubleshoot and resolve issues in our development, test, and production environments.
Skills & Abilities:
5+ years of experience in DevOps role.
Working experience in Tomcat, Apache, and Nginx environments.
Must have strong experience in Terraform.
Build and release automation tools: Jenkins/Hudson, CodeBuild, CodePipeline.
Experience with deployment of Java-based applications.
Setting up Kubernetes on AWS. Experience with Postgres/MySQL/MongoDB
Working experience in deploying and maintaining serverless applications
Working experience in setting up monitoring, and observability for deployed workloads using any common set of tools (Prometheus, Grafana, New Relic, CloudWatch, etc) & working experience in Aws Migration
Strong background in Linux/Unix Administration.
Strong overall Amazon Web Services experience.
Hands-on automation of the deployment of software and test pipelines, promoting a quick turnaround for testing and development.
Experience with automation/configuration management using Puppet, Chef, or an equivalent.
Ability to use a wide variety of open-source technologies and cloud services.
A working understanding of code and script (PHP, Python, Bash).
Knowledge of best practices and IT operations in an always-up, always-available service.
Any additional experience in Azure and software development will be a plus.
